Trekking from Sikles Village to Kapuche Lake was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. Located in the Annapurna region, Kapuche Lake is the lowest glacial lake in the world, located at an altitude of about 2,450 meters. This trip filled with breathtaking landscapes and camaraderie with friends makes it an adventure to cherish forever. Our trek began from Pokhara, from where we took a jeep to Sikles Village, a charming Gurung settlement perched on a hill. With its traditional houses, terraced fields, and stunning views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal, the village felt like stepping into a picturesque postcard. We spent the night at a local teahouse, enjoying the warm hospitality of the Gurungs and delicious traditional food before setting out on our trek the next morning.
